The Challenge
DAB Pumps manages a complex international web ecosystem composed of multiple domains distributed across continents, each with specific language, regulatory, and business requirements.The challenge was not only technical, but structural, the platform had to ensure consistency of brand, user experience across markets and efficient content governance across languages and domains.
Compliance, including GDPR and international consent regulations, was a critical layer of the project, but it needed to be integrated seamlessly into the broader digital architecture, without compromising usability or performance.At the same time, DAB required a system that could be easily maintained and updated, allowing rapid adaptation to regulatory and technical changes across all domains.
The Project
Hinto Group designed and implemented a structured, scalable approach based on Drupal’s multi-language and multi-domain capabilities. The intervention focused on strengthening centralized governance while preserving local flexibility. The architecture allows content and configurations to be managed efficiently across different country domains, ensuring coherence while supporting regional customization.
A key component of the project was the redesign and optimization of the consent management experience. Rather than treating compliance as a purely technical requirement, the solution was approached as part of the overall user journey.
The process also included:

- iterative A/B testing across domains
Three banner variations were tested to identify the most effective configuration in terms of clarity and engagement. The final implementation featured a transparent, accessible interface aligned with DAB’s brand identity, with clear call-to-action options and consistent behavior across desktop and mobile devices.
The solution was deployed across more than 15 domains, each configured to meet local legal requirements while maintaining centralized control and ease of maintenance.
The Result
The project strengthened DAB Pumps’ global digital ecosystem, improving both governance and performance across international markets.
Within three months, collected consents increased from 50,000 to 80,000, while the opt-out rate decreased by 25%. This improvement enhanced the quality of collected data and enabled more accurate user mapping across markets.
Beyond compliance metrics, the initiative reinforced brand trust and transparency. Users experienced a coherent, intuitive interface aligned with DAB’s global identity, regardless of location or device.
From an organizational perspective, the centralized yet flexible architecture now enables DAB Pumps to efficiently manage multilingual content, adapt to regulatory updates, and scale its digital presence across additional domains in the future.
