Paychex, a leading provider of human resource, payroll, and benefits outsourcing services for small to medium-sized businesses, aimed to reposition their website from a product-focused approach to one that highlights comprehensive HR solutions. Collaborating with Elevated Third, they sought to upgrade and optimize their Drupal environment, implement their design vision, and accelerate development using Elevated Third's Paragon platform.

Turning Vision Into Reality, Faster

Paychex already had a vision of where they wanted their site to go. We took those high-level ideas and assisted in developing a proposal to help them execute it in an accelerated fashion.

Design reviews and work sessions with the Paychex team allowed us to assess their current state, bring new ideas to the table, and execute the necessary steps that would lead them to the desired outcome. During execution, we worked collaboratively with the Paychex team and a design partner that they had engaged. Our role was to help them take advantage of Drupal’s capabilities and bring their design visions to life.

Boosting Performance With Smarter Development

This is where Elevated Third’s fast-start capability, Paragon, came into play. Paragon is a configuration of the powerful Drupal core, with a collection of out-of-the-box modules that improve administration, flexibility, security, and performance. This allowed us to accelerate the implementation of great features for quick, seamless builds.

Having relied upon Acquia Dev Desktop in the past, there were developmental pieces to the codebase that we improved upon to offer swift development and faster feature implementations. A theme cleanup and componentization were carried out to boost site performance and simplify the landscape for new developers working on this project. Additionally, we updated the framework to a more modernized, front-end theme which offered more tools and pre-built functionality.
