About the project
DAB Pumps needed to evolve from a traditional product showcase into a fully transactional digital platform. The objective was to enable users including installers, resellers, and technical buyers, to browse complex product catalogs, access detailed specifications, and complete purchases within a seamless online experience.
At the same time, the platform had to support multiple markets, price lists, and business rules, while ensuring editorial flexibility and governance on the content side. This required a robust backend capable of managing structured product data, documentation, and commerce logic, exposed to a fast and modern front-end layer.
The Project
Hinto Group designed and implemented D.Shop as a decoupled eCommerce platform, leveraging Drupal as the central content and product management system.
The solution integrates a structured product catalog, technical documentation, and commercial assets within a unified backend, while the decoupled front-end delivers a performant and app-like user experience. Particular focus was placed on product discoverability, advanced filtering, and localized purchasing flows tailored to different markets.
Drupal’s API-first approach enabled seamless integrations with external commerce services, pricing systems, and business logic layers, ensuring flexibility and long-term scalability.

The new D.Shop platform transforms how DAB Pumps distributes and sells its products digitally. Users benefit from a streamlined purchasing journey, detailed product visibility, and localized commerce experiences.
