Cellworks is a world leader in Precision Medicine. Cellworks’s unique biosimulation platform is a unified representation of biological knowledge, curated from heterogeneous datasets, applied to finding a cure. The Cell works platform addresses the needs of Physicians, Payers, Patients, and BioPharma. Cellworks help physicians navigate complex decisions to provide the most efficacious and timely treatment. They provide payers transparency to the causative rationale of therapeutic recommendations that are most efficacious for each patient. They assist BioPharma in accomplishing a higher clinical trial success rate and resurrecting failed drugs.

About the project

The cellworks group website was designed to help showcase the company and also provide a platform for efficient Digital Marketing. gai team was tasked with maintenance of the website and also provide server, hosting support for the website. The fully developed website had a few challenges in terms of build capabilities; some of the important pages did not have enough back-end support to enable the webmaster to modify content as per their need. The goal was to ensure 99% uptime on the site, while also making content creation, curation and update by client easier: The engagement with Cellworks is for website maintenance and updates.

Requirements
The important requirement was for a capable tech partner who would ensure that the website worked well, content could be updated and all the Drupal-level technical issues were handled by gai team, while the client could concentrate on content.
Outcomes
Over the course of close to a year of maintenance, gai team has ensured that the site is up and running, the performance of the site is best-in-class. The team has also ensured that modules, core updates are done periodically while also ensuring that these changes do not affect the website adversely. As the website was built in the early stages of Drupal-8
Challenges

  • Early version of Drupal 8 was used, so many of the contrib modules, core needed fixes.
  • Since content modification had to go through internal checks, content modification is typically made on ‘staging’ site by Cellworks team and then pushed to live

Why Drupal was chosen

Drupal 8 was chosen because of it's out of box content management capabilities, Community support, readily available contributed modules and themes, high-end security features were some of the key drivers for opting Drupal as a CMS for this Project. The website required integration with Hubspot and creating campaigns and newsletters

Why these modules/theme/distribution were chosen

The following modules pre-existed in the website which has to be maintained for updates
Views: There was a requirement of content filtering and Listing based on categories, Views is well suited for this sort of requirement.
Add Another Website was requiring a repetitive content addition on various sections,which derived us to use Add another module. Add another is designed to save time during repetitive content creation. It allows the content creator to add another node of the same type much faster.

Minifier HTML:Website load times has to be improved to achieve optimal performance Minify HTML and any CSS or JS included in your markup. Improve the performance of your site by Minify HTML and any Js or CSS in your site page.
Security Kit: SecKit was used for security security-hardening. This lets your mitigate the risks of exploitation of different web application vulnerabilities.

Publish Content: This module enables granular publish and unpublish permissions which allows you to grant roles on your site the ability to publish or unpublish specific content types without having to give them the administer content permissions. This is a lightweight solution to managing your content workflows.

Session Limit: Session Limit allows administrators to limit the number of simultaneous sessions per user.
