The General Division forms the core fundraising arm of the United Israel Appeal, strengthening the support for Israel’s most vulnerable people - Youth at Risk, the Elderly and Olim through programs. We fundraise for a vast range of projects which provide vital support and services for these vulnerable populations, to ensure they become valuable and contributing members of Israeli society. Nationally, the General Division raises funds for programs such as Youth Futures for youth at risk, based primarily on the periphery to help build self-esteem and set goals for a brighter future - transitioning from risk to opportunity. Aliyah and Absorption still forms a large part of our work, although it has decreased over the years. We provide assistance and support to new Olim arriving in Israel - essential to fulfilling their dreams and potential. UIA is instrumental in their smooth integration, ensuring they become contributing members of Israeli society.
