Organizations Involved

Watsan Cell is continuously communicating and interacting with all stakeholders in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector to consolidate the data and coordinate their efforts across the province.
Five Regional pieces of training with the support of UNICEF and ACF were organized in Swat, Mardan, Dir Upper, Abbottabad and DI Khan to train the technical staff of 58 vulnerable TMA's on Emergency Preparedness and Response Planning. 86 officials of 45 TMA's were trained including 3 Tehsil Municipal Officer, 13 TOI's/ATOI's, 38 Sub Engineers, and 32 technical staff. The participants of the training found the training material and methodology very interesting and effectively

Plans:

WatSan Cell, LG & RDD in collaboration with WASH Cluster KP/FATA and th UNILIVER Pakistan Ltd commemorated the 9 Global Handwashing the week from 14 to 20 October 2016 to promote handwashing with soap across the province. Different advice were carried out with a theme for this year “make hand washing a habit” in different parts of the province. Secretary Local Council Board Mr. Khizar Hayat Khan has shown deep interest in the caves and directed all Tehsil/Town Municipal Officers to commemorate the day with zeal and interest in their jurisdiction. 5040 soap provided by Lifebuoy Pakistan (Unilever Ltd) were distributed among school children in consultation with Director Elementary and Secondary Education Peshawar.

WatSan Cell was searching for a full pledge system, where users can manage and create their accounts Submit Form of the Villages they declared and Peer Review it.

Most importantly Security is the key issue when it comes to managing Data, and Drupal is the Most Secure CMS and powerful open source platform for building complex applications with the speed of light.

Their Specific Need:

Watsan cell is working in almost all the districts, and villages of kpk, previously they have to give hand-written reports in excel sheets to the headquarter.

Now they have a digital system, where they can submit entries revise it with complete ease.

In Conclusion, the project had to be user-centered and mobile responsive as well.
