Born in early 2020, UKG is a product of the merger of Kronos and Ultimate Software. A temporary ukg.com website was created as an initial stopgap solution, but UKG knew they needed a website that better aligned with their “Our purpose is people” brand and offered unified messaging to gain customers' trust in UKG as a singular company. That's where Third and Grove stepped in.
About the project
The challenge was to replace the three legacy sites with one new, unified site in a competitive landscape that is rife with an overall experience that can only be described as complex, convoluted, and mundane. Our response was to deploy a simple and authentic communication strategy that puts the “human” back in HR.
This required a complicated content migration of resources, blog, and news content from two of the three legacy websites, including 9 different global versions of content. This saved UKG hundreds of hours so they could focus on reimagining the rest of the content specifically for the new UKG site. The combined effort provided users with an improved experience—one that no longer feels like two separate companies, but one that is unified and worthy of their trust.

Human-first solutions
Prospective customers unfamiliar with UKG’s product offerings are guided through every step of the process with the Find Your Solution tool, which asks users a few simple questions to lead them quickly to the right solution for their needs. The experience was designed to retain user engagement, ensuring they discover a solution that’s right for their business size, need and industry.

Additionally, we designed a robust mega menu that makes content easy to access and also injects UKG’s brand personality into each section of the site, including the comprehensive resource library, which was created to offer customers easy access to a fresh feed of industry insights, events and other resources from industry experts and thought leaders from around the globe.

Results that speak for themselves

Why Drupal was chosen
The UKG team needed a flexible, powerful, and secure CMS to be their platform for their new company and brand. They also needed seamless integration with key systems like Salesforce. Drupal was a natural fit.
