As a part of Archer Jordan's mission, they needed to have a platform that was reliable, secure and could automate the day to day business recording functions flawlessly with minimal intervention from the team. Allowing the team to focus on other business requirements that make Archer Jordan's services outperform their national competitors.
To that end, we were engaged to help overcome the high technical challenges and technical debt that needed to be resolved in order to launch a new Drupal 8 based site that secured Employee / Employer information as well as was able to communicate to the various required entities in order to perform day to day operations needed to ensure that client's employees received the benefits they deserved and were required to have by law.
About the project
- Create a platform capable of servicing the Benefit needs of employers and employees
- Integrate with other systems and generate required reports utilizing views to craft reports that met the needs of partner vendors
- Utilize Rest API and custom RestFUL endpoints to serve data to Decoupled applications
Why Drupal was chosen
Archer Jordan needed a web application that could accomplish several complex and detail specific tasks and needed to be able to interact behind the scenes with several other Third-Party actors. The flexibility of the Entity System, Rest API, and security of the platform were the primary factors for selecting Drupal 8.

We utilized the Migrate suite of modules to assist in the migration of employer information from a Drupal 7 version of the platform to the new Decoupled Drupal 8 applications. This allowed us to ensure data security as well as reliability during the development process.
We utilized the Drupal 8 Rest API and GraphQL modules heavily in developing the various aspects of the applications that needed to communicate with an AngularJS client facing UI. Allowing us to create a unique experience for Employers, Employees, Vendors, and administrative users.
