Niggemann Food Frischemarkt GmbH, a German wholesale supplier and part of the Transgourmet group, needed to improve their online presence with a modern B2B webshop to provide better service to its customers. A tailored e-commerce solution was developed, featuring SEO enhancements and tracking. Training was provided so that Niggemann had full independent management of their own platform. The successful launch improved digital presence, visibility, and customer experience, maintaining the individual brand identity of Niggemann while aligning with the broader Transgourmet strategy.

Niggemann Food Frischemarkt is a German wholesale supplier specialising in fresh, high quality food, operating under the motto “Nobody can be fresher”. With a fleet of trucks serving businesses across Germany, particularly in the Ruhr region, Niggemmann supplies restaurants, retailers, and foodservice providers. Acquired by Transgourmet in 2018, the company continues to uphold strict quality control standards throughout their supply chain to ensure that only the freshest products reach their clients.

THE PROJECT A fully functional B2B e-commerce solution

The project focused on creating a robust B2B webshop to support Niggemann’s wholesale operations. Using Drupal as the foundation, the platform was designed to be user-friendly, functional, and fully responsive to modern browsing needs. The design was aligned with Transgourment's overall strategy, while preserving the unique identity of the Niggenmann brand.

Beyond technical development, the Niggemann team received comprehensive training to manage the webshop independently. Custom B2B features such as product categorisation, intuitive search, and easy order management were integrated, along with SEO and tracking tools to enhance visibility and gain insights into user behavior. The result is a streamlined, customer-focused platform that strengthens Niggemann’s digital presence while supporting Transgourmet’s broader goals.
